Welcome to the newly refurbished website for singer/songwriter Caz Batten.

Caz Batten is one half of not so acclaimed pseudo-country duo "The Wrockers" and a talented singer/songwriter in her own right. When not with her acoustic partner in crime, Caz spends her free time weaving tales of broken hearts.

Her music has been described as a cross between Jessica Harp and Kat Flint, while her lyrics speak of love, life and heartbreak through charming metaphors and occasional cheeky wit.

Caz comments, "I've changed a lot in the last year and I've written a soundtrack to go along with it. It has guitar, heartbreak and handclaps. I wish it had harmonica, but well... I can't play harmonica so that kinda throws a spanner in the works for that plan.

Hot on the spurred-leather heels of the likes of Michelle Branch, it may seem like the Portsmouth-based songwriter is doing everything in her power to stick to today's trends. But the truth is, Caz Batten was pretending to be country before it was cool.
